⇨ Saw this with the help of many linkages to and fro. People, go read the comments and see what reality is. BUT. If you have negative comments, don't you dare comment. Leave the poor girl alone. As I was saying, this is what reality is. Or rather, that is what Human Beings are. Judgmental, discriminating, insensitive. We are so overpowered by this sense of self-righteousness, that we think that whatever we do is right. This is also known as, having an ego. We are also so overwhelmed by this pursuit of victory, that we can't each take a step back, or walk away. This world will never tolerate ugly, fat people. It will however, accept unkind, rude, insensitive people, as long as they look good, because to many, having good looks is a ticket to criticize and humiliate people, who are nowhere as good-looking. It's the likes of these people that ugly, fat people are pressured into unnatural ways of restructuring themselves. Most of them turn to Plastic Surgery and put themselves at risk of losing their lives, if anything was to go haywire during the surgery. Others turn to slimming pills, resulting in horrendous side effects and not to mention, even fatal incidents such as overdose or allergies. Another way of putting it, these people out there who are "careless" with their "truthful behaviour" drive these people down the low-esteem path and make them detest themselves. They no longer believe in themselves and are always haunted by the comments of other people, leading them to not be able to express themselves freely and be like everyone else. Using this case as an example, when this girl got many likes, people assume immediately that she cheated. Nope, there couldn't be a hint of miracle that people think she deserves to win, she must have cheated, for who in the right mind will vote for her? Well, you conceited swines, beauty is within the eyes of the beholder, you're in no position at all to comment about her. Yes the competition is unfair and yah-dee-dah, but is that her fault? Nah, I didn't think so. And yes, she might have cheated. Perhaps a few fake accounts, or a desperate plea to strangers on her friend list to vote for her. But Y'know what, at least she has the courage to do that. She has the courage to ask people to vote for her even though she isn't entirely pretty. And you people, just have no balls to admit the fact that someone who isn't as good-looking as you, is winning the popularity contest. Put yourself into her shoes, and think of how embarrassing it is for her, to ask people she don't know to vote for her, subjecting herself to insults, like the ones you provided her with. Plus, if the people she ask thought the same way you do, they wouldn't vote for her right? You people are just so blinded by your self-righteousness, you can't see things from another angle. That's bad. For you. As for the people sticking up for her, (Okay, actually it's person) your rebuttals toward those negative comments are really kind gestures. However, have you stopped to think about this? With each of your rebuttal, the person leaves a nastier comment, trying to prove himself/herself right. Wouldn't that hurt the girl even more? After reading the detailed analysis of why she shouldn't win? If you add more fuel to the fire, girl, you're gonna cause a great fire, hurting everyone, including the girl herself. The world is already such a cruel place to live in, with starving kids and penniless families waiting for charity, why can't people just, be kinder to one another? Just take one step back and see how unnecessary this is. Every blessing, taken for granted. What a sad, sad world. |
