I saw grandpa today! :D Felt really happy yet guilty at the same time. He looked super tired, I hope it was because it was in the night and not because he has always been like that. I felt guilty because my parents are always going on Sunday mornings and I can't make it. ): I made him smile today, and that smile really made warmed my heart. (I made him smile using hokkien okay, don't play play!)
Grandpa hasn't been happy ever since grandma left. I can never forget how devastated he was at the beginning of her departure. Even before she left, he knew what was coming. ):
Recent events keep reminding me of grandma. Just now I was looking at my profile picture and I saw the one where I took with her. She was wearing the mini Christmas hat I brought for her (':
I don't wish for much now, just for my grandpa to live healthily and happily, however impossible the latter might be. My grandpa went through a lot in his life. He was misunderstood, misjudged, mistreated, and yet he stayed strong and continued to do whatever he needed to do. He's a strong man, just like grandma. I could never, ever forget how I saw him cry for the first time, and I never want him to cry like that anymore.
People with grandparents out there, please treasure them. Visit them often, take millions of pictures with them, talk to them, make them laugh. They just want to spend time with you.
